Ces derniers restent aujourd\u2019hui complexes \u00e0 traiter et font souvent office de \u00ab\u00a0parent pauvre\u00a0\u00bb des PRA, \u00a0qui se focalisent essentiellement sur les incidents mat\u00e9riels.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>La panne logicielle\u00a0: un incident complexe \u00e0 diagnostiquer et \u00e0 traiter<\/h2>\n<p>Les pannes logicielles sont difficiles \u00e0 diagnostiquer du fait d\u2019interconnexions toujours plus importantes au sein des syst\u00e8mes d\u2019information, d\u2019une supervision plus complexe et plus \u00ab\u00a0sp\u00e9cifique\u00a0\u00bb que pour les probl\u00e8mes mat\u00e9riels ainsi que d\u2019impacts plus diversifi\u00e9s et difficilement pr\u00e9visibles.<\/p>\n<p>Le PRA se focalise bien souvent sur les pannes mat\u00e9rielles, dont le traitement suit un principe simple\u00a0: un mat\u00e9riel de secours remplace, de fa\u00e7on plus ou moins automatique, un mat\u00e9riel d\u00e9faillant.<\/p>\n<p>Ce principe n\u2019est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement pas applicable pour les pannes logicielles, plus complexes \u00e0 traiter, \u00e0 diff\u00e9rents niveaux\u00a0de la cha\u00eene de liaison applicative :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Donn\u00e9es\u00a0<\/strong>: la r\u00e9plication fr\u00e9quemment utilis\u00e9e pour traiter des pannes mat\u00e9rielles entra\u00eene la propagation rapide de donn\u00e9es corrompues vers les infrastructures de secours. Afin de s\u2019en pr\u00e9munir, des m\u00e9canismes de r\u00e9plication logicielle peuvent \u00eatre mis en place afin de pouvoir revenir \u00e0 des \u00e9tats coh\u00e9rents exempts de donn\u00e9es corrompues. En dernier ressort, la restauration de clones ou de sauvegardes (plus longue) peut \u00eatre utilis\u00e9e.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Syst\u00e8mes applicatifs\u00a0<\/strong>: d\u00e9velopp\u00e9s en interne par l\u2019entreprise ou par des \u00e9diteurs tiers, ils visent \u00e0 r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 certains besoins m\u00e9tiers pr\u00e9cis. Leur d\u00e9ploiement peut ainsi \u00eatre limit\u00e9, ce qui r\u00e9duit les expertises existantes et le nombre de tests conduits lors des changements, pour raisons \u00e9conomiques. Les premiers \u00e0 migrer en font parfois les frais\u00a0! Par ailleurs, le fait de les placer sur des infrastructures de haute-disponibilit\u00e9 de type <em>cluster<\/em> ne change pas le probl\u00e8me\u00a0: si le logiciel dysfonctionne, ce sera sur l\u2019ensemble de l\u2019infrastructure, car il n\u2019est souvent pas possible de faire cohabiter plusieurs versions d\u2019un logiciel sur un m\u00eame <em>cluster<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Frontaux\u00a0:<\/strong> ils utilisent souvent des logiciels largement r\u00e9pandus, extr\u00eamement stables, et sont assez peu souvent \u00e0 l\u2019origine de probl\u00e8mes logiciels. Des effets de bord sur les syst\u00e8mes applicatifs peuvent n\u00e9anmoins appara\u00eetre.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Toutefois, l\u2019entreprise n\u2019est pas totalement d\u00e9munie face \u00e0 ce type d\u2019incidents, et peut en r\u00e9duire le nombre en respectant quelques principes \u00e9voqu\u00e9s ci-apr\u00e8s.<\/p>\n<h2>Porter une grande attention \u00e0 la gestion des changements critiques<\/h2>\n<p>Les incidents r\u00e9cents le confirment\u00a0une nouvelle fois : la majorit\u00e9 des pannes logicielles majeures interviennent lors de changements. Outre les bonnes pratiques g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement \u00e9voqu\u00e9es (tester largement et sur des infrastructures proches de la production, pr\u00e9parer le retour arri\u00e8re sur les aspects techniques et organisationnels, renforcer les \u00e9quipes et d\u00e9finir des astreintes, \u2026), l\u2019entreprise doit porter une attention particuli\u00e8re aux changements critiques. Elle doit ainsi\u00a0:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identifier ces changements et les partager largement au sein des \u00e9quipes\u00a0;<\/li>\n<li>R\u00e9duire le nombre de changements critiques simultan\u00e9s (a fortiori s\u2019ils pr\u00e9sentent des interd\u00e9pendances), afin de ne pas accro\u00eetre les risques et complexifier le diagnostic\u00a0;<\/li>\n<li>Renforcer le contr\u00f4le des op\u00e9rations tr\u00e8s sensibles (deux personnes pour une m\u00eame manipulation par exemple).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Privil\u00e9gier les architectures asynchrones<\/h2>\n<p>Une certaine dichotomie existe pour le traitement des pannes mat\u00e9rielles et logicielles. Si les architectures synchrones sont bien adapt\u00e9es aux premi\u00e8res, un asynchronisme peut grandement faciliter le traitement des pannes logicielles.<\/p>\n<p>Les architectures asynchrones permettent en effet de ne pas propager imm\u00e9diatement les erreurs et de revenir plus facilement dans des \u00e9tats coh\u00e9rents, puis de rejouer les transactions jusqu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019instant de la panne. Le d\u00e9coupage du SI qu\u2019elles induisent permet \u00e9galement d\u2019\u00e9viter la panne globale des syst\u00e8mes, en rendant possible l\u2019interruption de certains composants sans impact imm\u00e9diat pour les autres.<\/p>\n<h2>Se mettre en capacit\u00e9 de g\u00e9rer les erreurs de mani\u00e8re pro-active<\/h2>\n<p>L\u2019incident d\u2019Orange l\u2019a montr\u00e9\u00a0: les pannes logicielles peuvent se produire de mani\u00e8re progressive, en surchargeant peu \u00e0 peu le SI.<\/p>\n<p>La mise en place de syst\u00e8mes de mesure et de supervision, la d\u00e9finition de valeurs de charges et de temps de r\u00e9ponse normatifs et leur comparaison r\u00e9guli\u00e8re avec l\u2019\u00e9tat actuel des syst\u00e8mes peut permettre de pr\u00e9venir les incidents avant que des indisponibilit\u00e9s majeures ne surviennent.<\/p>\n<p>Orange a en ce sens, contrairement \u00e0 ce qu\u2019\u00e9voquent certains observateurs, bien assur\u00e9 sa gestion de crise. Nombre de ses ing\u00e9nieurs ont \u00e9t\u00e9 mis en alerte apr\u00e8s les premiers signes de fl\u00e9chissement du r\u00e9seau, et la communication qui a accompagn\u00e9 et suivi la panne a \u00e9t\u00e9 bien ma\u00eetris\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<h2>Utiliser des m\u00e9thodes de validation formelle\u00a0?<\/h2>\n<p>Des m\u00e9thodes reposant sur la preuve formelle permettent d\u2019assurer la s\u00fbret\u00e9 logicielle.
