Param\u00e9trable selon le catalogue propos\u00e9 par le fournisseur, elle se caract\u00e9rise \u00e9galement par sa vente et son support assur\u00e9s par un unique revendeur.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Par quels moyens les infrastructures converg\u00e9es am\u00e9liorent elles la robustesse et la gestion de celles-ci ? Comment acc\u00e9l\u00e8rent-elles le time-to-market ? Quelles pr\u00e9cautions prendre ? Dans quelle d\u00e9marche s\u2019inscrit in fine l\u2019adoption d\u2019infrastructures converg\u00e9es ?<\/p>\n<h2>Une infrastructure propice \u00e0 un SI industrialis\u00e9 et robuste<\/h2>\n<p>Les infrastructures converg\u00e9es permettent de mettre en place rapidement de nouvelles applications tout en maximisant le rendement des datacenters et en renfor\u00e7ant la qualit\u00e9 de service. Comment ? Par l\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9ration du time-to-market due notamment \u00e0 la livraison rapide d\u2019une infrastructure tout-en-un fonctionnelle, pr\u00e9alablement param\u00e9tr\u00e9e et adapt\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019usage pr\u00e9vu par l\u2019entreprise (fourniture de virtual machines, de stockage ou autre). Ainsi, le temps d\u2019int\u00e9gration est r\u00e9duit car la charge n\u00e9cessaire pour r\u00e9aliser les tests de compatibilit\u00e9 diminue.<br \/>\nDe plus, l\u2019infrastructure converg\u00e9e est, par d\u00e9finition, plus robuste car la compatibilit\u00e9 des diff\u00e9rents \u00e9l\u00e9ments la composant est assur\u00e9e par le fabriquant en usine. Cet assemblage de ressources est garanti par l\u2019expertise du fabriquant notamment gr\u00e2ce aux tests r\u00e9alis\u00e9s de bout en bout.<\/p>\n<p>D\u2019autre part, les processus de support sont am\u00e9lior\u00e9s par le fait qu\u2019il n\u2019existe qu\u2019un unique point d\u2019entr\u00e9e pour la maintenance et le support de l\u2019infrastructure. De plus, la supervision et la tra\u00e7abilit\u00e9 sont assur\u00e9es de bout en bout gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un unique outil d\u2019exploitation. Ainsi la refacturation \u00e0 l\u2019usage est facilit\u00e9e et permet d\u2019\u00e9viter une r\u00e9partition fastidieuse des co\u00fbts estim\u00e9s traditionnellement sur chacune des briques de l\u2019infrastructure.<br \/>\nDe n\u00e9cessaires pr\u00e9cautions \u00e0 prendre face aux infrastructures converg\u00e9es<\/p>\n<p>La mise en place d\u2019infrastructures converg\u00e9es rel\u00e8ve d\u2019un choix strat\u00e9gique pour la DSI. Ce choix doit \u00eatre \u00e9clair\u00e9 par une vision \u00e0 plus ou moins long terme des besoins en ressources d\u2019infrastructures de l\u2019entreprise. En phase de build, le dimensionnement de ces infrastructures en termes de puissance CPU, de m\u00e9moire RAM et de volum\u00e9trie de donn\u00e9es est primordial et doit \u00eatre correctement pr\u00e9vu au lancement du projet d\u2019int\u00e9gration. Si cet \u00e9l\u00e9ment n\u2019est pas trait\u00e9, les limites techniques pourraient \u00eatre atteintes car le mod\u00e8le m\u00eame de l\u2019infrastructure converg\u00e9e ne facilite pas la scalabilit\u00e9 horizontale (cela n\u00e9cessiterait l\u2019achat d\u2019une nouvelle infrastructure converg\u00e9e) ou verticale (l\u2019ajout de composants n\u2019\u00e9tant pas toujours possible). De la m\u00eame mani\u00e8re, en phase de run, un suivi pr\u00e9cis du capacity planning doit \u00eatre assur\u00e9 pour permettre d\u2019anticiper les besoins.<\/p>\n<h2>Un premier pas vers le monde du \u00ab as a service \u00bb<\/h2>\n<p>Lors de sa mise en place, l\u2019investissement budg\u00e9taire initial sera plus important que pour une infrastructure dite classique. Les gains financiers \u00e9tant r\u00e9alis\u00e9s par la suite, sur les soft costs, notamment gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la diminution des gestes d\u2019exploitation et la diminution de probl\u00e8mes d\u2019interop\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 li\u00e9s \u00e0 des mont\u00e9es de versions hardware ou logicielles. Ce type d\u2019investissement peut donc s\u2019av\u00e9rer lourd \u00e0 faire avec un retour sur investissement difficilement quantifiable. Alors pour quel int\u00e9r\u00eat une DSI peut-elle faire le choix de tels \u00e9quipements ? La r\u00e9ponse : pr\u00e9parer l\u2019\u00e8re du Cloud.<\/p>\n<p>En effet, initialement, une entreprise poss\u00e8de ses propres infrastructures (r\u00e9seau, stockage et serveur) et des \u00e9quipes pour exploiter chacune d\u2019entre elles. Elle dispose g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement d\u2019un parc h\u00e9t\u00e9rog\u00e8ne de serveurs, de baies de stockage, d\u2019\u00e9quipements r\u00e9seau etc. et constate des difficult\u00e9s d\u2019une part dans l\u2019exploitation et le maintien de ces infrastructures, et d\u2019autre part, dans la refacturation en interne des ressources.<\/p>\n<p>Les infrastructures converg\u00e9es apportent une r\u00e9ponse sur ces deux aspects. D\u2019une part la simplification de la gestion de l\u2019infrastructure (simplification des processus, support unique, outil de supervision de bout en bout unique). De l\u2019autre, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la standardisation des infrastructures et \u00e0 l\u2019apport d\u2019outils permettant l\u2019am\u00e9lioration de la facturation des ressources utilis\u00e9es, ce type d\u2019infrastructure permet \u00e0 la DSI de mieux g\u00e9rer sa refacturation interne. La DSI se met en position de fournisseur de services internes (VM, stockage ou autre), standardis\u00e9s et ma\u00eetris\u00e9s.
